ISLAMABAD: US President Joe Biden has conveyed his message of congratulations to President Arif Alvi on the 81st Pakistan Day on Tuesday. The US president express his desire to enhance Pak-US ties during his tenure in the White House.
“We will continue cooperation for the establishment of peace in Afghanistan and meet common challenges including that of coronavirus and climate change,” said Biden in a letter to President Arif Alvi.
Biden said the Pakistan-US ties are based on the common goals of regional peace and prosperity.
Pakistan is playing a key role in the ongoing Afghan peace process. Islamabad has played an active role in brining warring factions of Afghanistan on the negotiation table. Experts believe that Pakistan’s role in Afghan peace process will pave a way for Islamabad to eventually enhance Pak-US ties after many set back due to the same issue.
